Steve and I recently took interested students into Spokane to participate in the Fall INTAF event. There are several workshops... from special effects makeup as seen on Regan Oliver to improve, stage combat, voice over and lighting - giving us information about most aspects of theatre arts. They also act as an audience member for a professional performance -  this year they enjoyed the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Performers.  Two of our students, Daniel Moldrem and Naima Tondo participated in the musical showcase, working for 3 hours with a choreographer singing and dancing to "Seize the Day" from the musical Newsies; they performed on Saturday evening for the INTAF audience. One of our students, Aurora Jackson also auditioned for a non-musical role; she did not get the part, but was able to work with an actor on auditioning skills.  The festival culminates with a dinner and dance on Saturday evening.  It was a rewarding two days!
